Nudism and Fear: Fear and Nudism [Nudist Blog 2024]

Nudism and Fear: Fear and Nudism

I was watching a segment on YouTube and I heard a saying “your biggest hurdle is inside yourself”. It caught me off guard, but was so powerful that I grabbed my phone and captured it in my notes so that I could write my thoughts about this.

I don’t recall the author, or the exact topic they were talking about; however, this simple 6 word phrase reaches across all areas of your life, including nudism.

The Inner Hurdle and Nudism

I have written plenty of blogs on fear and nudism, nudism and fear as you can see here on Fear is a Liar, or here with Me Vs. Me: Winning the Life and Nudist Mindset, or here Paralysis by Analysis, or maybe this one Fortune Favors the Bold. You get the point, feel free to go through some older ones and get inspired!

It is kind of a running theme that being nude brings out in people. Whether it is social nudism, or simply enjoying the lifestyle at home, nudism for many starts a whole new inner conversation that if not checked, will control the narrative.

This narrative robs thousands of people of enjoying the nudist life. It is the “I am not in shape”, “I have stretch marks”, “it is a bunch of old people”, “I don’t want to watch people have sex”, “my dick isn’t big enough”, “I don’t want to get an erection”, blah…blah…blah.

I have heard all of these and more in my 24 years of being a nudist. These are all internal dialogues that crush people from trying.

We all have them. Hell, I still get some version of it when I am pulling up to a nudist resort or event. However, the difference is I pushed passed those one time in my life on a beach with 500 naked people in 1999 and that was all she wrote.

The Most Important 6 Inches You Have

Our biggest hurdle in life is truly within ourselves. It is a mere 6 inches between our ears that controls our thoughts, actions, and movements.

6 inches.

This space between our ears has shattered dreams and goals. However, it has also pushed us to new limits we never thought was possible.

It has talked us out of trying something new, and has also talked us into doing things we never thought we would.

Why Try Social Nudism in 2024

I can’t tell you how many people over the past 4 years has emailed me and said they want to try social nudism but have never taken the plunge. For many, there isn’t a nudist resort in driving distance which really hampers their efforts.

For others, it is the inner fear blocker that keeps them from trying.

So, what to do if you don’t have a nudist resort, or group near you? Try the world wide web, it is pretty amazing. Go to Reddit and look for groups or people that are nudist and connect with them. You can try sites like True Nudist and do a search. Just watch out for fakes and those that have a lot of sex on their pages, as that isn’t nudism. If you want to try it out, make it very clear you want non-sexual nudism with 0 sexual acts.

Also, watch out for making a post looking for people and getting a lot of people, especially single men, who want to “try out nudism”. I have found most of these are looking for sex or are more exhibitionist and not nudist (don’t get me wrong there are plenty of actual single male nudist in the world so don’t write them off). However, don’t get frustrated, just keep trying until you find a nudist, or even a small group. We are out there, and we want to introduce you to the lifestyle!

Nudism is a great way to simplify your life, destress, and just enjoy time without the restriction of clothing. Don’t take my word for it, take a look at my real life friend of 10 years who wrote this blog just for you.

Living simple as nudist

So if you have been holding back, stop! It is time to commit and take control and try nudism.

If you are a social nudist and you see someone looking to try it out, engage with them and encourage them by telling them how the lifestyle really is, verses how they think it is. Stuck in trying to find the words, point them to the Everyday Nudist blog!

2024 Outlook

So now that you are aware of the power of your brain, and the quite influence it has on ALL of your decisions, what will you do in 2024 to control it?

I want you to pay more attention to your thoughts. Remember, thoughts control actions; therefore, we must control our thoughts.

When it turns to “what if”, add a positive statement in the end…see this blog on “what if”. And remember this simple saying “what if worms had machine guns…birds wouldn’t f@ck with them”.

So we have 11 ¼ months left in this year, and it is time we start to take action now. Even in baby steps, to get to a new level of life what we would like to have. Baby steps, but steps forward.

In your corner,

Ryan

I couldn’t agree more Ryan! That small 6” space between your ears can so limit you in life. I’m 53 years old now, and in so many ways have let that space be filled with fears and over analysis of so many things!

My first experience with social nudism, shared on this blog, was one of the more terrifying events in my life; however I said f*** it and took that first step out the door naked. Within no time at all I had met some really cool people, and ended up having the best vacation I have ever had!

I’m experiencing the winter doldrums here. Where I live is nothing but dreary in the winter. As the Eagles song “Desparado” puts it, “The sky won’t snow and the sun won’t shine”. I am so looking forward to a few weekends naked a Kaniksu! Can’t encourage other’s enough to try it. Once you get over all the doubts contained in that 6” between your ears, you will be absolutely shocked and amazed at how much you enjoy it and how natural it is to interact with people, both male and female, completely naked!

Heck yes I couldn’t agree more and glad you gave it a shot and can now enjoy the freedoms and fun of social nudism. I think not only that, but being a nudist and getting over the fears it brings has sparked a lot of new life in people in other areas of their lives! Hope we can link up this summer when you are in town.

Since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, mankind lost his/her innocence so God covered the shame of their nakedness, which involved the shedding of blood to make the coverings of animal skins to replace the leaves Adam and his wife made for themselves. This for-shadows what Christ did on the cross to cover our sin. This is why I believe that public nudity is morally wrong. I live alone and enjoy the comfort of being clothes-free in the privety of my home where others cannot see. I am an 86 year old coot I would be arrested if I walked down the street nude in my small town anyway.lol

      John,
I can respect your view point, although different from mine..that is okay, it is what makes the world a great place. I am glad you enjoy the clothes free lifestyle that is great! Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!
