Live More, Not Longer: A Nudist Mindset

Live More Not Longer

Now let me start off by saying I don’t want you to live a shortened life!

I heard a quote a few months back somewhere that said, “live more, not longer” and it really got me thinking about how powerful just 4 words can be.

Just because someone lives a long life doesn’t always mean they lived life to the fullest. It simply means they lived a lot more days on this earth. We never know when our time will come, therefore it is important to live more while we can.

While the quote should be “live longer so you can live more”, for millions of people living longer simply means to breathe more air and drink more water. They aren’t really living, they are just existing. Life isn’t meant to just exist.

What is more? Only you can figure out what that is in your life.

What does it mean to me

For me personally, it means to get out and explore our great nation and travel (even if it is local). Also, to stress less over things I can’t control and really work on my mental health so I can truly live in the moment and enjoy life. Moreover, I want to enjoy the nudist life and inspire others to try it so they to, can live more. I want to make a bigger impact on my kids and make more memories. To continue to help my community as I can so when I am leave this world, it is a little bit better than when I came in.

While I would like to live a semi-long life, I get reminders of how fragile it is. Like last month, a friend of mine from high school passed away in his sleep at only 46. Another friend of mine lost her 8 year old nephew to cancer several weeks ago. If you live a life of “I will do it when I retire”, or “when the time is right”, it may never come.

Live life on your terms

Start living life on your terms, not the terms of society or how others think you should live your life. Need some help, check out this previous Everyday Nudist blog “Paralysis by Analysis: Is What-If Stopping You” and follow it up with “Stop Asking Permission: Live Life on Your Terms”.

So I would encourage you to take a few moments to simply reflect on life and how you can live more with the time you have so that when your clock is punched, which is hopefully later in life, you can be full and rest peacefully knowing you gave it a good run.

Drop a comment if you want and let me know what you will do to live more!

So here is living more not longer…well, okay, to living longer so you can live more.

Ryan

Agreed. My worry now is that my life span will be a lot longer than my health span. So letting go of what I can’t control is moving upward on my mental health priority list. Right behind it is accepting that A LOT of people simply won’t accept any information that doesn’t fit whatever narrative they have in their head. And guess what? It’s not my job to fix their reality disconnection. At the same time, I do not have an obligation to pretend their delusions are real. I smile, nod, and go my own way. Easier said than done sometimes. But worth the effort.

Well my friend I think a lot of us will live longer than our health! I have been in chronic pain for 24 years, or more, and still in my late 40’s..so if I make it to my 80’s that will be 60 years of daily pain. It sucks, but I have accepted it and do what I can, and when I can’t, I work to give myself some grace. I have worked to put my mental health first, that is important and drives our bodies! Keep putting in the effort and you are correct, it isn’t your job or duty to change someones opinion. Give them the info and walk away..that is what I have found works.

Let me know what you think!
