Mandatory Relaxation

There are many health benefits of relaxing such as the reduction of stress, lowing your heart rate and blood pressure, increasing the blood flow to your major muscle groups, and reducing muscle tension and chronic pain.

However, in a busy world where we feel like there is no time in the day for ourselves, we often put this to the backburner. As a result, we have increased pain and muscle tightness, higher heart rates and blood pressure, and an ever-growing surge in anxiety.

We have been accustomed to saying things like “I am to busy to take time out for myself”. To that my friends I call bullshit.

You absolutely have 10-15 minutes in your day to take a break. If you don’t, then your priorities are in the wrong spot. You are putting others ahead of you. You are putting the needs of others over your own health.

I would encourage you to put you first. MAKE time for you.

Put down your phone and disconnect. Find a quiet spot to mediate, or simply close your eyes and breath nice, slow and deep. Even if you can only find just 5 minutes a day you will start to see results.

Make it a habit. Make it habitual.

Hope to catch you mediating and finding time for yourself soon…and naked if possible!
