Medical Marijuana and Nudism

Enjoying the benefits of nudity and marijuana

Medical Marijuana and Nudism

What does medical marijuana and nudism have in common? They are both good for your soul, spirit, and pain management (in my humble opinion). Relaxation, stress relief, and all natural are three main components of both.

Marijuana users carry around a stigma much like being a nudist does. Many people don’t understand it; therefore, they just simply label people as “stoners” and all they want to do is get high. While that is true for many, marijuana also possess many medical benefits that now being researched more.

Many years ago, when I was in high school, I was a stoner. Today, however, I am an occasional marijuana user for pain management.

Living with chronic pain

I have lived in chronic pain for 22 years now. I have 3 bulging discs in my neck (one is severe), herniated and flattened L5/S1 nerve route, can’t feel my right foot fully, have radiating pain down all 4 limbs (including to my testis, see my blog on erectile dysfunction here) and suffer from daily headaches and semi-regular migraines.

With all my chronic pain that won’t be going away, around 2010 I opted to not take any narcotic pain medication, although it had been years prior to that since I took one. When doctors ask me how I manage through the pain my answer is simple: I suffer.

When I lived in California they had made medical marijuana legal, however, I worked for the federal government and they still see it as illegal. Hell, the U.S. Government, and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has marijuana listed as a Schedule 1 drug.

Why still illegal at the federal level?

Just to show you have far the DEA and law makers on how they view marijuana. A Schedule 1 drug is defined as “drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Some examples of Schedule I drugs are: heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), methaqualone, and peyote”.

While I think the Nixon administration and the “war on drugs” added it as a schedule 1 drug so they could convict the hippie, anti-war, pot heads and get them marked as “felony drug convictions” and remove their right to vote. Also, I think big Pharma has their paws locked into law makers and marijuana would drastically cut into their profit margin.

I think it is time the government actually looks at the value. Hell, it is now legal in 11 states for adults and 34 states for medical purposes.

Back to the reason I wrote this article!

isn’t marijuana only about getting high? no.

If you suffer from a myriad of pain issues marijuana may just help. According to this article written titled “Medical Marijuana” by Dr. Peter Grinspoon on the Harvard Medical School, he points out a variety of medical conditions that marijuana may aid with. Some of the list includes: chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, lessen tremors in Parkinson’s Disease, as well as help manage nausea and weight loss.

I use it for a couple of reasons, manage my pain and help reduce anxiety and stress which can be a cause of a headache. While I don’t like the smell or taste of marijuana one bit, and not even a fan of the high, it helps so I do it…on occasion. I am not a daily smoker, hell sometimes not even a monthly smoker. Then there are pain bouts that I may do it several days in a row to calm down the pain to my normal everyday level and go another month or two.

how to get thc into your body

There are a couple of main ways you can get THC into your system. Smoke it (flower or a liquid called a “cartridge”) or eat it in an edible. NOTE: don’t eat a marijuana bud it won’t provide the benefit and it sure looks like it would taste like shit.  In this picture, I am holding a cartridge which is just like a vape machine you see now a days. It is potent and I take one hit and I am good to provide just enough in me where I am not stoned out of my mind, but get the benefit of pain and anxiety relief. Again, the amount required depends on how much you use daily or regularly.

Another way I enjoy getting THC is in my system is through edibles. No I am not talking about eating a bud. Edibles comes in all types of ways including, chocolates, gummy bears, hard candy, and much more. It takes longer to process as it has to digest through your liver and kidneys into your blood stream. This is why you take some, wait and hour, then take more. Eat a ton hoping for an immediate buzz, your life is going to get real weird an hour or two later.

What I have talked about is the THC means of pain management. There is also CBD which is a part of the marijuana plant, but doesn’t contain THC (the high part) and does wonders for pain management. This article would be to long if I talked about it, but I have used it before and works well without the high!

I would encourage you to learn more if you live in chronic pain. Talk to your Doctor and see what they say (most are out of date and will tell you it is bad for you) but they are coming around as more patients know way more about it than they do. If legal for medical purposes, ask your Dr. for a medical marijuana card and then go to the store and talk to the people that work there. While they can’t get you medical advice on which one to use, they are really damn smart and can point you in the right direction.

it may even increase your sex drive!

And if you are looking to enhance your sex drive, or sexual experience it may also help with that. To be honest I get horny when I smoke and wanted to see if it was just me, and apparently, I am not alone. According to this article in Forbes (see here) “daily users across all demographic groups reported having 20% more sex than those who have never used cannabis.” Note: this is not causation meaning, you smoke cannabis you will have increased sex drive, therefore, will have a ton of sex. But, there is a decent reporting from the 28,000+ and 22,000+ men that participated in their research.
