Act Naturally

Two stepsisters inherit their father’s nudist resort and have to choose whether to run the business or sell it.

Act Naturally

I was scrolling through my Amazon Firestick the other day and I came across a movie that had a cover picture that said “no shoes no shirt no problem” as it covered up the backsides of a group of people standing there looking in the other direction.

Of course, I was intrigued so I clicked on the preview for a movie called Act Naturally. I won’t go through the movie as you can see the trailer here.

While the movie didn’t get good ratings on Rotten Tomato I will tell you I enjoyed the movie for one simple reason: it is a realistic portrayal of what non-nudist (called textiles) think of nudist, and what happens when you visit a nudist resort if you aren’t comfortable.

I found it quite comical from the two estranged sisters disgusted by the older men walking by, to staring at penis’s and their udder fear when being around everyday people who aren’t wearing clothes.

The common conversation

It is pretty much every conversation I have had with a textile when they think about nudist and being nude around others. Most common thoughts or comments are:

– I don’t look good enough to go naked

– No one wants to see me naked, I have xxx wrong with my body

– O no I don’t want to see people having sex, not my thing we aren’t swingers

– I am not about to want to watch a bunch of dudes walking around with erections (or I don’t want to get an erection)

– Seeing a bunch of old people naked isn’t my thing

– I can’t do it, if my job/family/PTA finds out it will ruin my life

All of these are common and all are valid concerns, especially if you haven’t ever been to a resort or function. It is a story you have made up in your head on why you “can’t” do it, and we know that our stories control our lives.

If you feel this way don’t worry, many people still face this every single time they disrobe in some fashion in front of others. However, just act naturally like you have done this a hundred times and now will ever notice. And if they do, don’t worry, they all know your feelings!

The amazing part about meeting first time nudist at a resort, function or gathering is that almost all of them will say “this is NOT what I imaged it would be like”, “I wish I would have done this sooner” and last, but not least, “I can’t wait to come back/we already have our next trip back planned”.

Imagine if all the people listen to their stories and why they couldn’t do it.

Hell, if I would have laid there around 500 people with my trunks on while they all had a great time naked on the beach I would have for sure never tried it, loved it, and now write about it.  Want to read about my first experience, check out my blog here.

What if?

I would ask you to do yourself one simple favor before you say no way in hell, try it out. Try it around the house. Try in a hot tub with a few safe friends. Take a day trip to a local resort. Find a local natural hot spring and strip naked and at least try it out.

What is the worst that could happen, you don’t like it but have a fun story that you can say “remember that one time we…”. Or, hell you might like it and want to live a life liberated from clothes. Spoiler alert:  the latter part of the last sentence is what will see in the movie.

What was your first time like? Did you have a lot of misperceptions on what it would be like, only to find out it is something you truly enjoy? Or if you haven’t tried it out yet, where is your stuck point on trying? Comment below or feel free to email me at everydaynudist@gmail.com and maybe I can help put you at ease.

Hope to hang out with you soon, naked so we can truly act naturally as we were intended to be.
