First Time Social Nudist Experience

“I Don’t Feel Like I am Being Judged”

First Time Social Nudist Experience

This weekend Jess and I did a day pass to Sun Meadows Family Nudist Resort in Idaho to catch a break from the heat wave we have been feeling, and enjoy the pool and of course being nude.

As the temp was quickly rising Jess and I took a reprieve from the sun and hit the shade to eat our lunch that we packed.

This is important to note that even though you may like to enjoy being in the sun, removing your tan lines, you have to take a break from it. Nothing worse than getting sick, sunburnt, or drained early. Plus, while still outside, we found it to be about 10 degrees cooler and with a slight breeze was just right.

Nudism to Reduce Anxiety and Hypervigilience

Can being nude help reduce your anxiety and hypervigiliance?

Nudism to Reduce Anxiety

In a recent blog (seen here) I wrote about the importance of mental health and my life dealing with depression and anxiety. The previous post was about depression, this one I will address how I use nudism to reduce anxiety and calm my inner thoughts and hypervigiliance.

For many non-nudist reading this, the thought of being naked around others probably just increased your own anxiety level. It can be scary at first as there is a ton of thoughts that race through your mind, which then create fear. Fear of the unknown then drives anxiety. It is a vicious circle. In short: fear can cause anxiety and anxiety can cause fear.

Stop Asking Permission: Live Life on Your Terms

Time to quit asking permission and start doing what you want.

Live life on your terms.

Do you ever find yourself wanting to do something or trying something out, however, you begin to think to yourself “what would xx think about it”? XX could be a friend, family member, general population or whomever comes to your mind.

This simple thought process stops more people in their tracks because they don’t want to have others think negatively about them or their image. This also stops people from trying out new things or living a lifestyle they want to live.

The mental fight we have starts when someone says, “well I would never do that”. Of course, they wouldn’t do it in their life. Hell, I am sure they are doing things you would never do, however, they are still doing it. But what does their opinion really matter in the course your life, wants, and desires. Hint, answer should be little to none.

Living with Mental Health Concerns

Mental Health is as Important as your Physical Health

Living with a Mental Health Concerns

Hi, my name is Ryan and I live with major depressive disorder and anxiety and this is the story of my last 15 years (give or take).

I will focus this blog on depression and will touch on anxiety in a future writing.

Terminology

I don’t use the official term of “mental health illness”. Don’t get me wrong, depression is an illness. According to the American Psychiatric Association, “depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.”

Go Be You and Only You

You only get one life to live so live it on your terms.

Go be you!

It is all too often that I see people try to control other peoples lives. It is even more so with the all of the social media platforms that keep popping up.

Trolls. They are fucking everywhere.

Some of them you know, some you have never met.

But they all have one thing in common. They like to make comments that make you doubt yourself, or say things that are downright disrespectful.

It is a shame.

These people stop others from living the lives they want to live because subconsciously we want to impress people. Or worse, we don’t live our true lives because we don’t want people to talk shit about us.

Ryan, Marine Corps Veteran, nudist, and founder/blogger for everydaynudist.com showing is everyday bracelet he wears as a reminder to keep fighting.

Keep fighting in life.

This will be a quick blog and I am not sure who needs to hear it, however, I was compelled to jump on and type this simple message out to you: Keep fucking fighting.

Everyday we are faced with challenges that push us, pull us, or make us want to simply give up.

Act Naturally

Two stepsisters inherit their father’s nudist resort and have to choose whether to run the business or sell it.

Act Naturally

I was scrolling through my Amazon Firestick the other day and I came across a movie that had a cover picture that said “no shoes no shirt no problem” as it covered up the backsides of a group of people standing there looking in the other direction.

Of course, I was intrigued so I clicked on the preview for a movie called Act Naturally. I won’t go through the movie as you can see the trailer here.

While the movie didn’t get good ratings on Rotten Tomato I will tell you I enjoyed the movie for one simple reason: it is a realistic portrayal of what non-nudist (called textiles) think of nudist, and what happens when you visit a nudist resort if you aren’t comfortable.

I found it quite comical from the two estranged sisters disgusted by the older men walking by, to staring at penis’s and their udder fear when being around everyday people who aren’t wearing clothes.

Is it Awkward Seeing Your Friends Naked?

Ryan, owner/blogger of everydaynudist.com sitting on his bed in Spokane Washington.

Seeing your friends naked, why can it be so awkward or “taboo”?

It is because we are friends? Or is it because we are embarrassed to see or be seen naked due to our personal body image? Maybe because seeing our friends naked may be somewhat of a turn on, or we have secretly envisioned what they would look like naked and know we know? What happens if I get turned on masturbate to thought of them naked, does that make a bad person? Will the next time I see them, be awkward because you now know what they look like underneath all those layers of clothes?

Thank You for a Great Nudist Year

You are the most amazing nudist and non nudist friends a blogger could ask for.

Thank you!

I wanted to take a quick moment to simply say THANK YOU for taking the time to read through my blogs. My sincere hope is that it is well worth your time and one that you have (or will) subscribe to and get updates as I continue to write.

My 2020 year in review stats popped up and I can’t believe that since March I have had 884 amazing guests from 41 countries stop by and take a look!

My hope is that some of the writings thus far have not only encouraged you in the nudist arena, but life in general. Sometimes I will write on nudist specific events like my first visit (see here), or what to expect the first time you do it public (see here); however, I also enjoy writing on a variety of things such as mindset, fear, and health.

The end goal of this blog is to make you think, smile, laugh, increase your confidence and awareness, and just simply take action. I am not talking about just becoming a nudist, but take action in many areas of your life.
