World Doesn’t Dictate What is Possible For You: Living the Nudist Life on your Terms
Growing up a Baseball Fan
You ever watch a show, or documentary and there is one line off the bat that makes you grab a notebook or your computer and jot it down? Well, this is exactly what happened, and it was so powerful that I wanted to capture some thoughts about it.
Growing up I was a huge baseball fan. When my older brother started playing t-ball my dad was the coach so I got to run around the park with my friends and chase fall balls across the parking lot (not paying attention for cars mind you) so I could take it back just to get a free piece of gum.
As soon as I hit Kindergarten and was old enough to play, my baseball journey began, and I played all the way through high school. In the early 90’s there was a one-handed pitcher named Jim Abbot. Jim was born without his right hand; however, he mastered the ability to put a glove on his right hand, pitch with his left hand then smoothly transition to putting his glove back in in one single motion. If I a ball was it to him, he would field it, take the ball out and throw it to first base.
On Sept. 4, 1993, Jim threw a no hitter while pitching for the New York Yankees!
ESPN 360 just released a segment about him the other day titled “Southpaw- The Life and Legacy of Jim Abbott” and even if you aren’t a baseball fan, I would highly recommend it.
Being Different in Life

The documentary highlights how being different doesn’t have to stop you, or cap you from doing amazing things. In the opening of the film, Jim makes a statement that literally stopped me in my tracks and made me grab my computer. In it, Jim said “sometimes people who are different might feel that there is a cap to what they might be able to do…The world doesn’t have to dictate what is possible for you” Jim Abbot.
You don’ have to be born with one hand to be different. There are a ton of ways that you are different. Whether it is depression, anxiety, trauma, a disability there are countless ways. Hell, lets be honest, we are all a little different, especially if you live the nudist life and like to be naked with others (or even by yourself) 😊
Without differences, society likes to want to put us in a box. O’ you have depression, you should act this way. You are struggling with addiction to drugs or alcohol, O you are just weak and should stop with no problems. O you were abused as a kid, get over it you are an adult and that was a long time ago. And the list goes on.
Most of this “cap” you face is because it has what you have heard others say all your life. This subconsciously grows into your own thoughts and self-driven restrictions. Because, “well that is just the way it is supposed to be”. NO. No, it is not the way it is supposed to be.
You Dictate Your Life

As I outlined earlier Jim’s quote “the world doesn’t have to dictate what is possible for you”. I would amend that statement a bit and tell you “the world doesn’t GET to dictate what is possible for you”.
You, and only YOU gets to dictate what is possible for you.
Stop allowing the thoughts of others, and what the general society says, and go out and be yourself. Do the things you want to do. In the end, society doesn’t live your life, pay your bills, or bring you joy. Society is there to make themselves comfortable, because most people in life just follow what they are told to do. If fear is what is holding you back, check out this previous blog “Fear is a Liar”!
Not you. Not starting today!

Stop Capping and Start Changing Today
All those things you have always wanted to do, but in the back of your mind you have always shoved them down because people wouldn’t “approve” of them…go freaking do it.
You ever notice how some people look legitimately happy in life? Not the kind that you know is a fake social media happy, but ones that just look like they are a free spirt, the modern day hippies? Be that kind of happy and free spirited.
So stop capping yourself. Stop allowing society to dictate your life. Take control and commit to doing the things that you want you to do. Quit that high paying job that makes your life miserable and find a job that brings you purpose. Go on that trip you have always wanted to take but everyone said “well I would never go there”. Take you clothes off and go skinny dipping. Go sober and drop all your alcoholic friends that want you to just go drinking with them but will never show up when you need them sober.
It is your time! Don’t wait until 2026, or next week or month. Start making changes today and put you and your happiness at the front of the line…because you never know when the end will happen. And for those that don’t like it, or support you: OWFI “o’well f’k it”, their loss as they sit quietly wishing they were you!
To you and and your amazing nudist life!
