Fear of being judged is one of the top reasons people don’t try nudism, or are ashamed to admit they love it.
I was watching a person on social media the other day (didn’t capture who it was) that stated “why are you worried about being judged by sinners”. That one line was so powerful that it stopped me in my tracks and had to grab my phone and capture it before it was a long lost thought.
I want you to take a moment and think about that a little deeper than just surface level.
Subconsciously most of our lives are spent worried about how we will be judged by others. It drives our decisions and unfortunately, keeps us from doing so many things that we want to try, or have to hide it for fear of what others will think.
This is not just about nudism, this is about all facets of our life and decision we make.
But it begs the bigger question: why are we worried about the judgement of sinners?
Why are we so concerned about others opinions and judgement?
I know part of the reason is because in our minds we see others as flawless, or having the “perfect life”. However, lets be honest, that is only the side they want you to see. Why? Because they are masking their own sins and flaws for fear of being judged by other sinners.
Besides body image and lack of self-confidence/esteem, I truly feel this is the number two reason people don’t try nudism/naturism. The fear of judgement.
Judgement of all the insecurities you have about yourself, and, well lets be honest when you are naked in front of others in your most vulnerable state there is nothing to hide. To make it worse, in our minds we think that all those “flaws” have a big ole spotlight shining on them for everyone to see.

The Nudist Community
The one great thing about the nudist community is that everyone is openly showing their flaws and insecurities to everyone around them. They are opening up themselves to full judgement and scrutiny. However, the cool thing about nudist is that we really don’t care what you look like, how many flaws you have, and what your personal insecurities are.
What we do care about is everyone around us feeling comfortable, safe, valued and seen as amazing humans. That is it in its most simplest of forms.
This is why you see nudist always smiling bigger, laughing harder and have having an fun relaxing time around friends, or people they have never even met before.
So if you have been curious about trying it out, or are a home nudist but hesitant to try it out in a social environment because you are concerned about being judged, don’t be. You are 100% missing a shot that could alter your life in a positive way.
And you don’t have to be open about being a nudist. Be a closet nudist all your life…but for your sake, just try it and see. If you tell someone and they don’t agree because “I would never do that”, tell them “cool, you may not but I am going to”! I am 97.6593% certain, your courage to do it makes them jealous (even if they down play it and act like you are a sinner for being naked). In the back of their minds they are wishing they could do it, but their insecurities are keeping them from giving it a shot.
So wither you give it a shot around the house, in the back yard, at a beach, doing it in a hot tub with friends, or going to a resort, really pay attention to your thoughts. You know the ones that are silently telling you to not do it because you “aren’t perfect”. Tell them to shut the hell up and get on board because this life is about freedom and joy.
So here is to all of you that says the hell with the fear of being judged by others, I am stripping down and giving it shot…or continuing to do it!
