Confidence Issues: Men’s Edition
A good majority of the time I hear women say they are not confident enough in their bodies (weight, breast size, stretch marks, etc.) to go naked in front of other people. This is understandable and I don’t blame you, hell, society has told you and shown you this since you were a child.
However, women aren’t the only ones that face this type of confidence issues…men face them as well.
Over the years many men have told me they are self-conscious and wouldn’t go naked in front of other, especially women, or even other men.
This usually comes from men who aren’t “in shape” and are sporting six pack abs, large biceps, have a large hung penis or generally don’t feel they are model material. To be honest, the top 2 I hear: stomach and penis size.
The conversation I tell a man is much like a tell a women: it isn’t about picking up women (or men) and it isn’t a swinger lifestyle…it is just everyday normal people enjoying a lifestyle with little to no clothes.
Hell I am no different from many men. My weight and muscle tone has fluctuated over the years. Just two years ago I weighed in 190 lbs, leaned out, and was pushing under 10% body fat: I was in keen shape and it showed. Today, I weigh 215 lbs with no six pack in sight. More like a big beer gut, however, I don’t drink (that is a non-alcoholic beer in the picture).
I have to remind myself, like I do to others, that the nudist lifestyle isn’t a fashion show and it isn’t about picking up men or women: it is about living a lifestyle where I enjoy wearing little to no clothes. Sometimes, it is the conversation that I have in my head that tries to control the narrative. If this is you, check out his blog I did on Fear as I think it may help you detect it when it occurs.
So fella’s, if you are overweight, or don’t have a large penis…it is okay. People will accept you for exactly who you are. So get out there. Get naked. Be yourself.
And yes, women (and men) look, but trust me they will enjoy seeing you naked just as you are.
I will stand naked beside you any day of the week!
