Stop Waiting, Start Doing

Ryan, Founder of Everyday Nudist enjoying the snow at his Eastern Washington home.

Happy New Year friends from a chilly and snowy Pacific Northwest, I hope all of you had a great holiday season!

With the New Year comes all the new year, new me social media posts. While I enjoy seeing them, the unfortunate statics of new years resolutions are pretty low. According to UAB Medicine only 8% of people of people will stick to their resolutions for the entire year. To read some great tips on how you can increase your chances of success take a few moments to read their article here.

America’s Got Talent Nightbirde

“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore to be happy”- Nightbirde

America’s Got Talent Nightbirde performance will have you question your life in just one simple statement.

A while back on America’s Got Talent there was a young lady that took the stage to sing an original song called “it’s OK” and in just two minutes she took the internet by storm.

You see it isn’t that Nightbirde, her real name Jane Marczewski, isn’t just a good singer she is also fighting cancer. Prior to singing Howie Mandel asked her what she does for a living in which she responded that in the last 2 years she hasn’t worked as she has been battling cancer. After the awkward “o sorry to hear” from Howie, Simon Cowell asked her how she is doing now. Nighbirde responded by saying that “last time I check I had some cancer in my lungs and my spine and my liver”.

First Time Social Nudist Experience

“I Don’t Feel Like I am Being Judged”

First Time Social Nudist Experience

This weekend Jess and I did a day pass to Sun Meadows Family Nudist Resort in Idaho to catch a break from the heat wave we have been feeling, and enjoy the pool and of course being nude.

As the temp was quickly rising Jess and I took a reprieve from the sun and hit the shade to eat our lunch that we packed.

This is important to note that even though you may like to enjoy being in the sun, removing your tan lines, you have to take a break from it. Nothing worse than getting sick, sunburnt, or drained early. Plus, while still outside, we found it to be about 10 degrees cooler and with a slight breeze was just right.

Celebrating Pride Month Nudist Style

Have Pride and Be Proud of Who You Are in not only pride month, but every month!

Ryan, Marine Corps veteran and owner/blogger/nudist in Spokane Washington

Pride month

With June being Pride month, I wanted to drop in with a quick message to those that are in the LGBTQI+ community and let you know I am proud of you.

While it may seem easy to be in the LGBT community it really isn’t. There are factors that go against a person which causes a lot of shame, angst, and stress. While many in the world are becoming more accepting, there are still assholes that think something is wrong with us.

Nudism to Reduce Anxiety and Hypervigilience

Can being nude help reduce your anxiety and hypervigiliance?

Nudism to Reduce Anxiety

In a recent blog (seen here) I wrote about the importance of mental health and my life dealing with depression and anxiety. The previous post was about depression, this one I will address how I use nudism to reduce anxiety and calm my inner thoughts and hypervigiliance.

For many non-nudist reading this, the thought of being naked around others probably just increased your own anxiety level. It can be scary at first as there is a ton of thoughts that race through your mind, which then create fear. Fear of the unknown then drives anxiety. It is a vicious circle. In short: fear can cause anxiety and anxiety can cause fear.

Living with Mental Health Concerns

Mental Health is as Important as your Physical Health

Living with a Mental Health Concerns

Hi, my name is Ryan and I live with major depressive disorder and anxiety and this is the story of my last 15 years (give or take).

I will focus this blog on depression and will touch on anxiety in a future writing.

Terminology

I don’t use the official term of “mental health illness”. Don’t get me wrong, depression is an illness. According to the American Psychiatric Association, “depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.”

Sun Meadow Family Nudist Resort

An honest trip review of our time at the resort.

Sun Meadow Family Nudist Resort

This past weekend (17-18 April, 2021) Jessica and I decided to enjoy the mid 70’s sunny weather, our destination Sun Meadow Family Nudist Resort. The resort is located in Worley, Idaho.

It was the perfect the day for our first nude outing of 2021!

After setting our reservation mid week, Saturday morning came and we were on the road for a quick 45 minute drive from our house just outside of Spokane Washington to just across the border in Idaho.

Are You Fighting a Substance Abuse Disorder?

Here is a look into my personal story

Are You Fighting a Substance Abuse Disorder? You aren’t alone!

My name is Ryan and I live in recovery from a substance abuse disorder, specifically alcohol.

It took me 20 years of heavy drinking daily to say that out loud just about 6 years ago.

But once I did, I could face it. With out it, I just kept on struggling in silence, holding my secret to myself and playing life as if I had it under control.  Thing is, I did not have it under control. Beer and Crown Royal had me at their will.
