Nudist Erections [Full Body View]

Ryan, from Everyday Nudist

Nudist erections.

One of the scariest things men face is the fear of getting and erection in public at a nudist event, resort, beach, etc.

My hope is that this blog will normalize erections for both men and women, therefore, if you get one or see one, it just becomes a natural event. If you need another opinion, here is a good blog I found on erection eqtiutte from another view point.

The number 1 question I see on places like Reddit normally looks like “what do I do if I get an erection?”.

Some people I think want to see the reaction, however, for many men I feel this is one of the biggest reasons they don’t try nudism (outside of body concerns i.e. penis size, gut, etc.). If you are a man and have confidence issues, check out this previous blog I wrote on just this topic!

But to be honest, this is a valid concern as erections occur at any time, any place, for many reasons.

And if you get one, it can be hard to hide and it feels as if everyone is staring at you and judging you because “nudist don’t get erections”.

First thing to understand is that it is bullshit that nudist don’t get erections, and understand that erections don’t always occur because you turned on in a sexual manner.

On occasion, men will random erections. This occurs more in teens and young adults, however, can occur in older adults as well.

While, erections can occur from sexual stimulation, nudism isn’t sexual in nature. However, being nude in front, and with others can spawn an erection. Nudism isn’t sexual but it is sensual and let’s be honest being nude is the ultimate freedom.

While it can be embarrassing, there is no need to worry. You won’t be the first, or last guy to get an erection. Besides, erections are a part of life and are natural, and unlike women that can hide sexual arrousal, men stand out.

What do to if you a erection

If you get an erection just breath and relax and don’t bring attention to it.

Grab a towel and cover yourself up and it will go away.

Also, shift your thoughts to something different and this will help it to go away.

Do not, I repeat, do not touch yourself or rub yourself. This isn’t a nudist act and can make those around you very uncomfortable. Also, it is the fastest way to be sent out of an event, or resort, so just avoid it.

If you are fearful of getting an erection, try to masturbate prior to going, or if you are staying at the place, do it before you go hang out with anyone. This can help reduce the chances of getting one.

Bottom-line: don’t be afraid of getting an erection to the point it doesn’t allow you to have a great time at a social nudist event!  If you get one, quietly shift positions or cover up until it goes away and presume the fun!

In your corner,

Ryan

Great article… I think we need to normalize bodies being bodies. As long as we don’t act inappropriately.

Erections are not a result of sexual stimuli. The brain is the largest sex organ. If I had more to show I might. I am fine with an erection as long it is part of the full body picture. Very good article.

If you’re concerned about an erection at a strictly social event, about the only thing you can do is masturbate. Once in the morning before you get out of bed and then again as close to the time of the event as circumstances allow. If you’re at a beach/pool situation you can roll onto your stomach and wait it out. The other option is to go into the water if it’s possible to do so without calling attention to yourself.

Most of my social nudist events are all male. I think that makes the erection issue easier to handle because everyone there knows that penises have minds of their own and pay little attention to their owners. It tends to turn into a bit of a joke with comments like, “Oh, is that for me? How thoughtful of you! Unfortunately, this isn’t that kind of party.” The owner might come back with something like, “I’ve told him several times already, but he’s just not interested in what I have to say.” Everyone then laughs, tension is diffused, and everyone proceeds to ignore the erection. Again, this is a setting in which the notion that the penis owner is in the driver’s seat would be greeted with giggles. This might not apply in mixed settings.

As an aside, even when completely soft, penises have their own up/down, short/long ‘cycle’. What you see at one point in time might be very different from what you see 15 minutes later.

The etiquette article was interesting. I appreciated the historical background regarding Augustine. Although I’ve not read in any great depth, what I’ve gathered from skimming articles is that the ‘christian’ obsession with the human body and sex and the position that both are intrinsically sinful/evil is primarily the result Augustine and a few other writers. My impression was that there’s little if any prior support for the nudity=sex=evil idea. Apparently it’s plausible these were more their personal opinions than anything else.

The only thing I think needs a bit more emphasis is that erections don’t need any kind or reason or stimulation to make an appearance and this is regardless of age. Fatigue, illness, stress, and sleep deprivation tend to reduce the number spontaneous erections and the older a guy is the more likely he is to have one or more of these factors in his life.
