Two groups of people that often get lumped together are swingers and nudist.
People assume that nudist are swingers, and swingers are nudist.
While there is certainly a large combination of both, it isn’t true for all swingers or nudist.
Off and on over the past 20 years I have been a member of both lifestyles; however, not at the same time. What I mean by that is when I go to a nudist resort it is strictly nudist time. When I would go to a swinger party, it was just that, time to meet like minded people and if it goes further cool, if not I meet like minded people or do opened minded sexual stuff.
While there are certain lifestyle friendly (swinger) resorts, most nudist resorts are just that nudist. Sexual acts are strictly prohibited as they should be.
Do nudist hook up with other nudist while at resorts, hell yes they do. All the time. Can nudist go around a bunch of swingers and not swing. Hell yes they can.
I would be willing to wager a large chunk of money there are a lot of nudists that are swingers, but like me, when they go to a resort it is just nudist time.
A nudist resort that is just that, a nudist resort, that doesn’t allow sexual acts in public. Most resorts should list their etiquette policy on their website. Please read this first. Then when you call feel free to tell them you aren’t comfortable, or don’t want to see it, and them ask if it is allowed to make sure you are not walking into something.
I remember meeting a couple in Palm Springs around 2008 or so. They were a younger couple, maybe late 20’s, and it was their first time going to a resort. She had finally gained the courage to take the plunge and try it out and they made a reservation at one of the lifestyle friendly resorts that said it was clothing optional. Needless to say, it was clothing optional plus lifestyle friendly. When they arrived there was open sex by the pool and that shocked the shit out of her. I don’t recall if they even stayed the night there, but when they came to the resort I was staying at, clothing optional only, she would not leave the room for the entire day or night.
It is this type of experience that will ruin a person’s chance at truly enjoying what being a nudist is all about.
When I go to a resort it is nudist time only to relax and destress my life. Most nudist swingers that I know are the same way.
There is a time and place for both lifestyles. However, going to a nudist resort to try to find swingers, or someone(s) to play with…well, is not the time, nor the place. Don’t ruin someone’s good time, or maybe even their first time. If it happens organically, cool. Take that to a room and away from everyone else.
I hope this quick blog clears up any misguided thoughts you may have about nudist resorts or gatherings. Don’t allow the internet, porn sites, or exotic written stories sway you checking it out.
Every legit resort has a “no means no” rule. Also, any resort, or gathering that is affiliated with, or follows the AANR rules has a strict no sexual acts, or overt public display of affection policy, and will result (or should result) in immediate removal.
If you agree to having sex, or want to get more intimate with a person or couple, take that shit to a room we don’t want to see it. If we did, we would go to a lifestyle friendly resort or party. It has no place in a nudist resort or function.
Hope to hang nude soon (and just nude),
