The “What If” of Nudism.

What if? Two powerful words that we constantly ask ourselves and as a result, holds us back from doing many things in life.

I wonder if you counted the below statement, how many times a day you think or say these:

But What if I fail?

I am not sure, What if I don’t get it?

We can try, but What if it doesn’t work?

I don’t know if I want to ask them, What if they say no?

The Nudist What If’s

Happy Bisexual Day

Happy Bisexual Day!

Today, 23 September, is National Bisexual Awareness Day so to all my fellow bisexual’s out there I would like to say I am proud of you for being you.

Bisexual’s are often one of the misfits in the LGBT+ community. We are often labeled as “confused” or “in a phase” and somehow we are diminished or people want us to “pick a team”. To those I say, I have picked a team and it is coed. I am in the longest phase of my life which is about 20 years and can say I am proud to be who I am today…a married, nudist, bisexual, father and veteran.

Confidence Issues: Men’s Edition

A good majority of the time I hear women say they are not confident enough in their bodies (weight, breast size, stretch marks, etc.) to go naked in front of other people. This is understandable and I don’t blame you, hell, society has told you and shown you this since you were a child. However, women aren’t the only ones that face this type of confidence issues…men face them as well.

The Media Campaign to Separate Us

The way they portray things and people in movies, shows, social media posts/memes, and the news fuels bias and personal opinions. Slant it one way for long enough you will begin to think that way, even if you know if you. They know it. How do you think the 50 year failed war on drugs continues to spend billions of dollars every year with zero evidence that it has done nothing but devastate the African American community? If you guess media campaigns, you would be correct.

Do You Have a Hobby?

I, Ryan, suffer from chronic residual pain from my head to my toes, which over time resulted in getting major depression and anxiety. Also, having suffered many blows to the head resulting in several probable concussions, it has done a number on my memory and focus. To compound the issues, for 20 years I drank heavily to help me in trying to ignore the pain and override depression and anxiety. This resulted in becoming addicted to alcohol; however, on a positive note I just hit 4 years sobriety in June of 2020.

One thing I started to do several years ago to help clear my head was to paint. While I am not very good, it as a few hours to just release any stress, anxiety or issues that were consuming my thoughts and my life. To increase the effectiveness, I began painting things for other people. While many probably tossed them in the trash (which would be for good cause) it helped me to focus joy and gratitude in my work.

Nudism and Porn

According to a 2018 article in Psychologytoday.com “In terms of basic results, they found that 73 percent of women and 98 percent of men reported internet porn use in the last six months, for a total of 85 percent of respondents.” The disturbing facts are the number of children from age 8 years old and older, that have either intentionally or unintentionally viewed internet porn.

This article isn’t necessarily about porn and if it is good or bad, that is a personal decision and topic.

The problem I find with porn is that it provides a negative stereotyping for nudist.
